10 DAYS FROM MARRAKECH TO THE DESERT
Itinerary of 10 days tour from Marrakech to Casablanca via the desert
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to your accommodation
First days of your 10 days Morocco itinerary: Upon arrival, we will pick you up from the airport of Marrakech to your accommodation, and get enough rest, later you can go for walk in the Medina and see Jamaa-al fna.
Day 2: Marrakech Medina tour with a local guide 3
the Second day of your 10 days in Morocco itinerary: For the second day in Marrakech you will have two activities: First: A local guide from our agency will come to pick you up from Riad/hotel, and start your exploration to the Medina-the old city, and its alleys. You will visit, the Saadian Tombs, and the Bahia Palace. Free time for lunch then goes back to your accommodation for rest. Second: After you get some rest for you to visit the Medina, your second activity will start, which is cooking class. With a local family in Marrakech
Day 3: Marrakech - Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades valley
The third day of 10 days in Morocco itinerary: Our wonderful journey starts from your accommodation in Marrakech. This day’s destinations are the most famous, and highly visited in Morocco. On the way, you are going to experience the beauty of Atlas Mountains via the road of Tizin-Tichka with an altitude of 2260m. Offering you charming views. Valleys, oases, mountains, and Berbers villages. Furthermore, we will stop by so you can get the chance to take some amazing pictures. Arriving at the world heritage site the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. This place belongs to one of the most important families between the 16th and 17th centuries, “the Glaoui’s family”. Also, a place that attracted many filmmakers. They shot some movies there such as “Jesus of Nazareth” , “Indiana johns”. Lunch is planned for you to enjoy it in this Historical area or in the next stop. After 20 mines, you will arrive at the Atlas studios of Ouarzazate, The studios are the biggest in Morocco. Lot of famous movies are shot there. Such “Game of thrones”, “Gladiator “. Eventually you will resume driving Dades’ Valley (Boumaln Dades) ,where you stay for one night, but before you arrive your accommodation you will see other Berber villages, Kasbahs and valleys.
Day 4: Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Erfod – Sahara Desert
Fourth of your 10 days in Morocco itinerary: After the breakfast a Dades valley, we head over to a very special destination today, the magnificent Merzouga (Sahara Desert). Passing by Tinghir, to visit Todra gorges the highest spectacular canyons in Morocco. After a quite stay for taking pictures, you continue you driving to Merzouga; on your way, you have break for a delicious lunch in one the local restaurants. After lunch our journey will continue and will arrive to Arfod, a small city in the south east of Morocco and it well known by the city of fossils, in this city we will visit a Museum of the fossils and Marbles
From Arfod our driver will take you directly to the camel and you ride a camel to the camp, and on your way you will watch the beautiful sunset and you will enjoy the beauty of the dunes. After the camel ride, they will welcome you to the camp with tea. After the dinner they will play some local songs under the starry sky. Note: do not forget to wake up early for the sunrise
Day 5: Merzouga Desert 4x4 tour
The fifth day of 10 days in Morocco itinerary: After the breakfast in the camp you ride the camel back to meet you drive and start your desert tour. In this day you will have discover lot of things in the area. The first thing you are going to see is the national auto museum. Secondly, you are going to move see a Berber village which they call “khamlia”. This small village is where most of the immigrants and ex-salves from the other African countries like “Gabon” live. You will able to have to try their tea and listen to their music that they call “Ganaoua”. After Khamlia, you will move to visit an old mine for the metal that is close to the Algerian borders. Thirdly, your driver will to take this time to visit a Berber nomad family to discover the life of nomads . These people are an example for all other nomads; you will get to know all the parts of their tents, also where they cook and what they use for transportation. After your driver will take to a good place for lunch then you go to the hotel for rest.
Day 6: Merzouga Desert – Rissani – Midelt – Ifran – Fez
Sixth day of 10 days in Morocco itinerary: After you breakfast you will start another journey this day you will head to the centre of Morocco, and you will discover other parts of our kingdom. First, we visit the Rissani and its traditional market, and the mausoleum of My Ali Cherif. After we will resume our driving and we will stop in the panoramic view of Zize valley to enjoy the view. After this break you drive again to midelt where we will have lunch From Midelt you head to Cedar forest, we will quick stop to see the Berber monkeys; later on we will continue to Ifran (Switzerland of Morocco). After the break you drive to your accommodation in Fez
Day 7: Fes Medina exploration (city tour)
Seventh day of 10 days in Morocco itinerary: After the breakfast in your Riad/hotel and journey of exploration will starts. Your journey will be a very informative city guide and you explore and discover the hidden treasure of Fes medina. Fes served as the capital of Morocco
for more than 350 years, and it is city where the University of Al Karouine exists, and it is the oldest operating university in the world. Your guide will take you to Moulay Idriss mausoleum, the Nejjarine fountain and Tanneries. You are going to have lunch in the Medina, then you will continue your journey and you will visit the Jewish quarter “the Mellah”, where you will have the chance to visit one of the few living synagogues in Morocco. After Medina, you will have the option to visit a ceramic factory. The journey will end after you see the panoramic view of the Medina. Eventually you will head to you accommodation.
Day 8: Fes – Chefchaouen
Eighth day of your 10 days in Morocco itinerary: After a traditional breakfast in your Riad/hotel, we are going to resume our tour. We will drive to the north of Morocco, and we will head over to the blue pearl of Morocco. It is going to be 4 hours drive from Fes. By the time we arrive we will have lunch, after the resorting we will to for a walk in the small town and explore its beautiful alleys. After the walk we will head to our accommodation.
Day 9: Chefchaouen – Casablanca
Ninth days of 10 days in Morocco itinerary: After Breakfast in the Blue Pearle your driver will pick you up and you will drive to Casablanca the biggest city in Morocco. By the time you arrive, you will have chance to visit the biggest mosque in the Africa and third one in the world. Hassan 2 mosque and it is the only opened to Non-Muslims. After the visit we head to your accommodation or go for a drive along the ocean
Day 10: Casablanca – Airport
On the last of your 10 days tour from Marrakech to Casablanca via the Sahara desert: After breakfast, your driver will takes you to the airport two hours before the fight time to do your checking.
