Itinerary of 7 days tour from Tanger to Marrakech

Day 1: Tangier » Chefchaouen
On the first day of your unique 7-Day Trip from Tangier to Imperial Cities, we will pick you up from the Airport/Port and drive you to Chfchaouen (the blue city) through the Rif mountains and Tetouan city so you can enjoy the lovely mountain views. Overnight at your hotel or Riad.

Day 2: Chefchaouen» Volubilis » Meknes » Fes
In Volubilis, we will see the best-preserved Roman remains in Morocco and learn about the archeological site of Moroccan history.
After our tour of the ruins, we will go to Meknes, a city that dates back to the 17th century, where we will have lunch and explore the medieval walls of the medina, including bab el Mansour and the Moulay Ismail tomb. After exploring Meknes, we will go immediately to the city of Fes, where you will spend the night.

Tour of Fes with a local guide on the third day
Today you will have a guided tour of the medina and the famed Souks of Fes, as well as its tiny cobblestone lanes packed with ancient mosques and towering green-glazed minarets, as well as the distinctive Andalusian architecture in every part of the old city and its monuments.
We will ensure that you visit all culturally and historically significant locations, including the renowned Al Qaraouine University. The trip will also include a stop at the tanneries and pottery cooperative to see traditional Moroccan handicrafts. Overnight at the hotel/riad

Fes » Azrou cedar forest » Midelt » Merzouga (Erg Chebbi Dunes)
We will pick you up from your hotel or riad and drive you south to Azrou through Ifrane (the Switzerland of Morocco) and the Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping by a cedar grove to photograph the Barbarian Apes.
After lunch, we'll proceed via the Ziz Valley to Erfoud and Rissani before reaching Merzouga. Hotel accommodations are nearby.

5th day: Merzouga region and camel trekking with Desert camp at night
After breakfast, we'll begin our exploration of the surrounding region by visiting a Mali-born black hamlet to hear their music and see their way of life.
Then, we will go to the Miffis Mines to see how they operate before entering a whole desert with enchanting vistas and a warm cup of tea with the Bedouins.
Before returning to the hotel, after a cup of tea, your local guides will instruct you on how to mount and dismount a camel, as well as other helpful camel-related safety instructions. Then, you will begin exploring the enigmatic Erg-Chebbi sand sea.
Overnight in a Berber tent.

Sixth day: Merzouga, Jerf, Toggha Gorges, and Dades Valley
Continuing our 7-Day Tangier to Imperial Cities Tour, we will wake early to see the finest sunrise of your life, creating diverse shadows and hues across Morocco's tallest sand dunes.
Before returning to our accommodation in the desert, we will travel to Tinghir and the breathtaking Todra Gorge, the highest and narrowest gorges in Morocco, after breakfast. The Gorge is also a wonderful place for trekking, sitting at the river's bank, and experiencing Berber specialties.
After lunch in the center of the canyon, we'll travel through the Dades Valley, where we'll spend the night in a lovely hotel perched on the summit of the mountain.

Day 7: Dades Valley » Ouarzazat » Ait Ben Haddoukasbah » Marrakech
Following breakfast at your accommodation, we will travel through the Dades Valley to Kalaat M'gouna (the city of roses) and Ouarzazat. The route through Dades Valley is the path of a thousand kasbahs, allowing ample opportunity to shoot some of the most memorable photographs of your journey.
Furthermore, we will make a brief stop at atlas movies studio of Ouarzazate before driving to Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, the largest Kasbah in Morocco, built by T-Hami El Glaoui, one of the last Berber chieftains at the beginning of the XXth century; it was one of his stops on his long journey from the Sahara to Marrakech.
Additionally, a trip to one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites since 1987: Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. The 7-day tour from Tangier to Marrakech across the Sahara desert concludes in Marrakech, where we will have traversed high atlas mountains replete with panoramic vistas and charming Berber towns.
